XAI Grok .
Grok is owned by X, formerly Twitter. It offers chat, writing, coding, image generation, and video . on paper, a full package. In practice? It does everything poorly compared to its competitors, and somehow charges more for it. The Pro plan runs $25 to $30 a month, which is significantly more than better tools that cost around $20.
In benchmark tests, Grok consistently underperforms. There is no compelling reason to choose it when Gemini, Claude, or even ChatGPT are available. C tier, and I'm being generous.
AI App Builder
Lovable . S Tier (Personal Use) / B Tier (Commercial)

In practice, it's too experimental and the security risks are serious . the installation process literally asks you to acknowledge those risks upfront. This is a tool to watch closely over the next couple of years, not one to deploy in your business today. D tier for now, with real potential to reach S tier in time.

Perplexity .
Perplexity is an AI-powered search engine that actually searches the internet . blogs, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok . and gives you cited, sourced answers. For competitive research and market intelligence, I've replaced Google with Perplexity entirely.
Because it cites sources, hallucinations are significantly reduced. The free version is solid. The paid version adds depth. Either way, it's one of the most practically useful tools for any online business owner. A tier.
Notebook LM .
Notebook LM lets you upload documents or link to YouTube content and builds a custom AI chatbot that only answers based on that specific material. For learning new tools and synthesizing complex information, it's genuinely excellent.
The problem is simple: it doesn't generate direct income. It's a support tool, not a revenue tool. C tier . valuable for what it is, limited for business growth.
The Future
Google Genie . (For Now)
Genie generates explorable virtual worlds from text prompts. It's experimental, limited to 60 seconds of exploration, and only accessible on Google's most expensive Ultra plan. There are zero current monetization use cases.
So why mention it? Because AI simulation is widely expected to become one of the biggest opportunities of the next decade. This is a technology worth watching . just not worth paying for yet. F tier today, potentially S tier in three to five years.
